With the latest news about James Mangold’s next film, I was thinking back on the rest of his work. He’s one of the few directors that I have seen all of his films. This is the final ranking of his films:
The Films of James Mangold
1. Kate & Leopold (2001)
2. Walk the Line (2005)
3. 3:10 to Yuma (2007)
4. Cop Land (1997)
5. Girl, Interrupted (1999)
6. Identity (2003)
7. Heavy (1995)
How would you rank them?

Man, I’m impressed that you’ve seen all of his films – I definitely haven’t I’ve actually only seen a few of these – I loved 3:10 to Yuma, while Walk the Line bored me. I thought Identity had a great deal of potential but didn’t really deliver it – but what a great cast!
Cop Land is the one I want to see and haven’t. I’d never even heard of Heavy.
Oh man, there’s just a couple I haven’t seen, and it’s tough to rank these…
1. 3:10 to Yuma
2. Cop Land
3. Girl, Interrupted
4. Walk The Line
5. Heavy
I haven’t seen Heavy, Cop Land, or Identity, but I’d have to put 3:10 at the top and Girl, Interrupted above Walk the Line. I agree with Graham about being a little bit bored by Walk. And thanks for stopping by my blog!
